Art : Video-art : Baek Nam Jun

Gone Already, He is Baek Nam-jun. He is a pioneer in video-art's world.
He was born in 1932 June, 20th in Seoul, Korea. and died on January 29, 2006.
In his earlier days, he studied art history and music history in Tokyo University in Japan. During 1956 to 1958, he studied music history in Munich University in Western Germany. These learnings of his, and un-traditional way of thinking heavily effected creative composition and his art activities. For his famous work, "Dadaiksun", a media tower made by piling monitor one above another for 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
He opened the retrospective in Guggenheim museum in 2000.
Although he departed from life in Jan, 29th, 2006, his name was on the list of world's 100 artists.
Especially, his famous work is 'Dadaiksun'.
'Dadaiksun' is a media tower made by piling monitor one above another for 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
This work is composed with more than thousand TV moniters, decreasing gradually by one and one floor. 'Dadaiksun' named after the old saying with the same pronounsation which means 'The more, the better'.
However, the work(Dadaiksun) means not the many of objects but the limitless of the reception of TV.
It metaphorically gives the explanation of theory of composition of today's mass-commucication.

Fashion artist : Andre Kim.

He is a famous fashion designer in Korea. Andre Kim's real name is Kim Bong Nam.
When he was young, his family was very poor. So, he worked harder two times than others. So, no one criticize and speak ill of his achievement nowadays.
I respect him for patient ascpect and responsility to the end, to the best. He makes beautiful clothes well.
Also, he is famous for liking white chothes. He always wears a white suit. Because he has his own color and his own world. He has two special characters. He likes white make-up and his unique pronunciation (Korean pronounciation is a little bit strange.)
Two years ago, I operated shopping mall with my friend.
Then, We makes clothes that simple stuff like t-shirts. haha-
When I learned fashion art, I thought , I want to be fashion desiner.
But, I change my major...so..art become far off me....
Kim Joon of Boys Over Flowers fame. The model for the eccentric designer Andre Kim. Kim Joon was accompanied by Jang Nara. She's famous in China. She has starred in some Chinese dramas and released some music in the Chinese market. The clothing is the typical Andre Kim's trademark style and resembles the clothes. He is awesome concept. Kim Joon looked pretty cool and his face looks like a puppies. Jang Nara was also looked very beautiful. Andre Kim on the other hand looks the same as usual... very awkward.
I think the white outfit makes him look real pale. But especially in white he looks like a true prince. Not sure what to think of the other outfits, though.

Jang Nara's blue dress is huge. Their outfits look gorgeous, intricate and stylish. I've seen a lot of posts about Andre Kim's stuff. I can say they are phenomenal and unique! I love his designs (esp. the dresses). They're so extravagant and avant-garde.

About my favorite color :

My favorite color is blue.
I like blue because it reminds me of the sky.
The color blue also reminds me of oceans.
I love water therefore I like oceans.
I also like to wear the color blue.
Blue is a cool color so it's good to wear blue in the summer.
It's better to wear a cool color like blue rather then wearing something like orange.
But in the winter, it's not good to wear blue.
Blue makes you look cold.
Instead, it's better to wear a warm color such as orange.
But blue is still my favorite color.
My room is also blue.
It was white before, but we painted it blue because it's my favorite color.
But a lot of people's favorite color is blue because it's a nice color.
And I think the color blue makes people happy.

Pop Art : Andy Warhol.

I admire Andy Warhol.
I write about his work&his effect on art total.
First, He removed the gap between the noble&high-grade fine art and the low-grade fine art. In addition, he broke the barrier of the elite audiences and the popular audiences.
Second, his work challenged in authority of the traditional artist.
In work process, he hired the assistants and he painted the borrowed images from the popular image.
Also, ready-made image, like Duchamp worked with ready-made goods.
Like this point expanded the concept of the artist.
Third, he recognized clearly that the art is also a kind of business.
Finally, he widened the limit of art activity, not only painting like silk screen but also movie, magazine, cable TV, and so on. And then, he showed practically the possibility of the art popularization and POP art.
Until now I write about Andy Warhol's work & work propensity.
The POP art of that time is connected with a today fine art.
So we can understand one part of today art.
I think everyone should have seen the work of Aendi wohol's a figure.
I like Andi wohol, too.
Many works of Andi wohol, Title of I like work is "kaembeolsupeuraneun".
"Kaembeolsupeu" : When he was young he grew up eating a can from a familiar image. Idea become works... this is realize ...for me.
I hope we are the other special people and should want.

Artist : Gustav Klimt

I like many artists, but 'Gustav Klimt' is my favorites.
Klimt was born in the Vienna suburb of Baumgarten on 14 july 1862.
He was very outrageous and decorative.
Also he was an artist who used his own oriental decoration pattern for his paintings.

Some of his work : 'The kiss', 'Judith', and xxx. He drew many other art pieces also.

This work is 'The Kiss'. On this picture, thhe meaning of the kiss is an eternal love through the reconciliation of male and female. But it is a fact which can't be realized in the reality. It is as good like love of himself. This picture apparently says on the reconciliation through love. It looks brilliant and hopeful because of a golden color. However, if I see work in detail, I can't feel it is warm and hopeful. Because the head of a man turned into the world and the face of a woman of two closed eyes make me isolated and gloomy.

The most famous "Judith" is the picture of Kilmt. Her charisma was not shown in this picture. But shown her sex appeal.
Many differences are noticeable when compared with "Judith" of Karabazzo.
The design and the feeling is quite similar, but "Judith" of the pictures are completely different.
